The Bank of America Charitable Foundation recently awarded NPower Charlotte Region with a $10,000 grant for NPower’s Technology Support Center, which provides a call-center Help Desk, proactive computer and network maintenance, onsite engineering, and strategic technology planning services for participating nonprofit clients.
This grant supports the Community Technology Support Center project, which focuses on increasing the capacity of the Center via strategic investments in people, tools, and processes. Over a 12 month period, NPower will expand the level and quality of services provided to enable them to serve more nonprofits.
These funds will help NPower serve a current portfolio of 30 nonprofit clients and expand their on-call technology support to more than 100 local nonprofits. NPower will be able to increase the impact nonprofit organizations make for the 100,000+ clients that they serve in the Charlotte area.
“Technology can improve a nonprofit's ability to complete their mission to serve more people in need. NPower’s Technology Support Center is one example of how we’ve combined a variety of technology services into a single, comprehensive and affordable offering for Charlotte’s nonprofits,” says Chris Meade, NPower Executive Director. “We are excited to receive this grant from Bank of America to support this initiative.”
NPower is honored to receive this award and appreciates Bank of America’s continued support in transforming nonprofit organizations through technology advancement. Bank of America is dedicated to providing “opportunity for all” in its commitment to our Charlotte community. Providing support to organizations, like NPower, which provide opportunity and improve the quality of life in Charlotte, is key to their strategy to build capacities that truly make a difference.
