NPower Charlotte Region was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from the Goodrich Foundation to support the Community Technology Support Center. The center offers help desk services, proactive computer and network maintenance, onsite engineering, and strategic technology planning services for participating nonprofit clients.
Through their foundation, Goodrich focuses on engaging their employees in their communities and the world. This grant does just that by providing Charlotte’s nonprofits technology support and strategy to help them accomplish their missions. “Goodrich has been a long-time NPower supporter and we appreciate this generous donation to NPower’s Community Technology Support Center,” says Chris Meade, NPower executive director. “This donation will help increase the capacity of our center so we can help more nonprofits in Charlotte.”
Goodrich’s contribution supports the Community Technology Support Center project, which focuses on increasing the capacity of the Center via strategic investments in people, tools, and processes. Over a 12 month period, NPower will expand the level and quality of services provided to enable them to serve more nonprofits.
These funds will help NPower serve a current portfolio of 30 nonprofit clients and expand their on-call technology support to more than 100 local nonprofits. NPower will be able to increase the impact nonprofit organizations make for the 100,000+ clients that they serve in the Charlotte area.
