NPower Charlotte Region is a nonprofit technology consultancy working exclusively with other 501(c)(3) organizations. We are confident that through technology we can affect change for the common good.

Technology in the hands of nonprofits holds enormous potential that can be unleashed with the right technology assistance. Not only do we improve nonprofits' current technology, but we also help them plan for the future, implement needed technology programs and achieve improvements that enable them to better serve their clients.

We understand that technology alone doesn't change the world — people do. That's why we base all our services in a friendly, flexible approach that delivers powerful IT solutions you can call your own.

History

NPower is a network of locally based nonprofit organizations that provide comprehensive, high-quality and affordable technology assistance to other nonprofit groups nationally. NPower opened its doors in Seattle in 1999. In response to the need for similar services in other communities, NPower Seattle partnered with Microsoft Corporation in 2000 to develop other NPower programs around the country — and the NPower Network was born.

In 2002, 20 visionary leaders of the American Leadership Forum from across the 14 county Charlotte region raised awareness and funding to create an NPower affiliate for our community. NPower's Charlotte Region has since has established itself as the key facilitator of technology strategy and solutions development for the nonprofit sector.

Since our founding five years ago, NPower Charlotte Region has served over 60 agencies, delivered more than 120 technology projects, and raised $3.5+ million in cash and in-kind technology donations for our region.
