NPower Charlotte Region is sponsoring a workshop to assist nonprofit agencies in assessing the security of their data and how to increase the security of their computer systems.

The free workshop, designed specifically for nonprofit organizations, will take place 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1000 E. Morehead St., in uptown Charlotte.

Green computing or green IT allows organizations to use environmentally friendly computing in their everyday business practices. We can all play a vital role in adopting Green IT practices that will ultimately make being green a little easier – and make our world a little better.
